Kaiser Permanente was co-founded by entrepreneur Henry J. Kaiser and Sidney R. Garfield, MD, in 1938. Today, Kaiser Permanente is the nation’s largest not-for-profit health plan. Modern Healthcare honors both men for their continuing impact on Kaiser Permanente by inducting them into their 2018 Healthcare Hall of Fame.
