As part of its mission to improve “the health of our members and the communities we serve,” Kaiser Permanente provides grants, technical assistance, communications support, and other types of in-kind services to community organizations that serve low-income, at-risk communities. As a health plan and health care provider, we understand the value of preventing disease as well as treating it. Our unique, coordinated approach has set us apart from others in the health industry for nearly 70 years. It’s also had a profound influence on our work in the community.

Last year we invested more than $897 million in Northern California community programs and services. In addition to providing individual grants, we fund a number of our statewide efforts and multi-year initiatives that impact entire geographies across northern California.
