David F. Hoffmeister joined the boards of directors of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in November 2014. He serves on the Finance Committee, the Audit and Compliance Committee, the Compensation Committee, and the Governance, Accountability and Nominating Committee.
From 2004 to 2014, Hoffmeister served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Life Technologies Corp., a leading supplier of biotechnology research tools to academic institutions, governments and companies around the world.
Prior to joining Life Technologies, Hoffmeister was a senior partner with McKinsey & Co., focusing on health care, private equity and chemicals industries. Over the course of 20 years, he held various leadership positions and advised clients on issues of strategy, operations and organization. Before joining McKinsey, Hoffmeister held financial positions at GTE Corp. and W.R. Grace and Co.
For 10 years, he has served on the board of directors for Celanese Corp. He is also a member of the board of directors of Glaukos Corp.
Hoffmeister received a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s of science degree in business from the University of Minnesota.
