The Bulldog Reporter has named Kaiser Permanente’s Share website Best Online Newsroom in its annual PR Awards for Excellence in Non Profit Communications. Launched in September 2013, Share is a brand journalism website presenting the latest news and views about Kaiser Permanente, as well as its positive impacts on the communities it serves.
Content is organized and presented in way that makes it easy to share stories, press releases, videos and other content via social media. Share features live feeds from Kaiser Permanente’s main Twitter accounts and blogs, including Care Stories, which highlights first-person accounts by Kaiser Permanente patients and Food for Health, where users can find recipes by Kaiser Permanente caregivers. The site is optimized for smartphones and tablets to help all readers easily share Kaiser Permanente content.
Kaiser Permanente received another Gold Award for Best Use of Video in a Campaign, for the City Walk series. The video series is featured as part of Every Body Walk!, a public awareness campaign powered by Kaiser Permanente that aims to get people walking 30 minutes a day, five days a week, to improve overall health.
The Bulldog Not-for-Profit PR Awards recognize the most outstanding achievements in non-profit communications — celebrating corporate communications and public relations strategic and tactical prowess.
Winners were chosen by a team of working journalists, who assessed entries on the basis of their ability to achieve visibility and influence opinion, as well as on their creativity, and command of media and technology.
