SEATTLE — Burien-area residents now have access to high quality care in the newest Kaiser Permanente Washington clinic. The Burien Medical Center, which opened today, features state-of-the-art technology and stunning architecture to provide one of the best patient experiences available.
“We are so pleased to open this world-class facility here in Burien. This medical center will serve our members for decades to come with quality care,” said Susan Mullaney, president, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington.
The new 23,000 square-foot, patient-centered designed medical center has a spacious, light-filled lobby, bright exam rooms, natural finishes, a water feature, a fireplace and a covered drop-off area.
The building also features:
- Kaiser Permanente’s recognized medical home model (NCQA level 3 patient-centered medical home ― the highest recognition)
- Eye Care, including newly opened retail eye care services with a wide selection of glasses frames open to Kaiser Permanente members and non-members
- Pharmacy with a large selection of over-the-counter product offerings
- Expanded physical therapy services
- Short-term counseling
The new medical center replaces the existing 53-year-old structure, which now is scheduled for demolition to make way for a 151-stall parking lot.
