According to a national poll commissioned by Kaiser Permanente, stigma and misperceptions about mental health can cause people living with depression and other mental health conditions to feel embarrassed or afraid to reach out for help.

Nolan Thompson, MD, Kaiser Permanente Southern California’s regional chief of psychiatry, talks with radio station KLOS host Erik Scott Smith about the importance of speaking up about mental health issues.
