MURRIETA, Calif. — Kaiser Permanente Murrieta Medical Offices opened its doors to members in South Riverside County on Nov. 7, 2017. Located on the corner of Antelope Road and Keller Road, the new, innovative facility offers convenient care options for Kaiser Permanente members in South Riverside County.
“We have more than 100,000 members who call South Riverside County home, most of whom have been traveling to Riverside or Moreno Valley,” said Vita Willett, senior vice president and area manager for Kaiser Permanente, Riverside County. “Not only will these members now enjoy shorter drive times, but they’ll also experience the innovation and integrated technology that makes this facility a model for the future of health care.”
The 82,000-sq. ft. medical offices offer a full range of services, including: cardiology; ear, nose and throat care; general surgery; lab services; OB-GYN care; ophthalmology care; urgent care; and X-ray and imaging services. The new facility’s innovative use of technology begins before patients arrive with express check-in. Members can confirm their appointment, pay their co-pays, and update their personal information online prior to coming into the medical offices.
“When members arrive, they’ll be greeted by staff equipped with tablets that monitor everything from patient wait times to physician schedules,” said Bob Blair, chief administrative officer for Kaiser Permanente, Riverside County. “And since our staff won’t be tied to desktop computers, they’ll be free to move about the building to help patients better navigate their visits.”
Kaiser Permanente Murrieta Medical Offices includes many sustainability features including electric vehicle charging stations, preferred parking for carpool and low-emissions vehicles, a cool roof and bike storage. Additionally, it has public amenities such as a Thrive walking path, community garden, conference center and room for a possible farmers market in the future.
“The values that make south Riverside County such a special place to live — values such as health and wellness, community engagement and physical activity — are shared by all of us,” said Dr. Frank Flowers, area medical director for Kaiser Permanente, Riverside County. “I can’t think of a better place to launch this new approach to ambulatory care.”
