HONOLULU — Six doctors have joined Kaiser Permanente Hawaii facilities on Oahu and Maui. They add to Kaiser Permanente’s award-winning staff of more than 600 health care providers in Hawaii’s largest medical practice, the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group (HPMG), which serves more than 255,000 members in Hawaii.
Vanessa Cabe, MD, has joined as a primary care physician at the Kaiser Permanente Waipio Medical Office. She graduated with her medical degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Huntington Hospital, in Pasadena, California. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Dardo Ferrara, MD, practices cardiology at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from National University of Cordoba in Cordoba, Argentina. Dr. Ferrara completed his internal medicine residency at Hospital Nacional de Clinicas in Cordoba, Argentina, serving as chief resident. He completed a second internal medicine residency, as well as fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Ferrara practiced cardiac electrophysiology at North Cascade Cardiology, part of PeaceHealth Medical Group, in Bellingham, Washington. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
Melissa Kim, MD, FAAP, is a pediatric hospitalist at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, and completed her pediatric residency at University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Most recently, she served as a pediatric hospitalist at Nemours Children’s Health System at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Florida, and Nemours Children’s Urgent Care in Melbourne, Florida. Dr. Kim is also an assistant professor, global status, in the department of pediatrics at her alma mater, Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Elisa Zaragoza Macias, MD, MPH, joins the cardiology department at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from the University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Macias completed her internal medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she also earned her Master of Public Health degree. She completed fellowships in cardiology and adult congenital heart disease at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. She comes to Kaiser Permanente from PeaceHealth Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington, where she served as echocardiography laboratory director and adult congenital heart disease director. Dr. Macias is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and adult congenital heart disease.
Shauna Raboteau, DO, MPH, practices family medicine at Kaiser Permanente Nanaikeola Clinic. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California, where she also earned her Master of Public Health. Dr. Raboteau completed her family medicine residency through the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority in Puyallup, Washington, serving as chief resident. She is board eligible in family medicine.
Tom Feng, MD, joins the urology department at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed his urology residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He also completed a robotics and laparoscopic fellowship at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
