Kaiser Permanente of Georgia Ranks Highest in South Atlantic Region in 2017 J.D. Power Member Health Plan Study

Kaiser Permanente leads health plans in member satisfaction in the South Atlantic Region, which comprises Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina

ATLANTAKaiser Permanente of Georgia, for the eighth consecutive year, remains the highest-rated health plan in the South Atlantic region, according to the J.D. Power 2017 U.S. Member Health Plan StudySM. Kaiser Permanente has more than 300,000 members in metro Atlanta, where it operates 26 medical centers.

Earning a total of 791 points on a 1,000-point scale, Kaiser Permanente of Georgia scored 84 points above the regional average for overall member satisfaction. The health plan also received the highest scores in the categories of cost, coverage and benefits, customer service, provider choice, as well as information and communication.

“We strive to provide our members with an exceptional experience, whether they are receiving care in our medical centers, or connecting with us via the phone or internet,” said Jim Simpson, president of Kaiser Permanente of Georgia. “We will continue to offer affordable health plans to ensure more Georgians have convenient access to high-quality care.”

Kaiser Permanente of Georgia members have exclusive access to more than 450 board-certified physicians with the Southeast Permanente Medical Group, one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in the state. Care teams practice at the health plan’s 26 medical centers and four partner hospitals. Members are also encouraged to manage their care online at kp.org, where they can email their doctors, view their medical history, make appointments, refill prescriptions and learn about Kaiser Permanente’s free health and wellness classes.
