Kaiser Permanente’s track session at South By Southwest Interactive was a success, if the packed room of 200 people and the trendsetting buzz on social media are indicators.
Kaiser Permanente-IT Digital Technology Vice President Madhu Nutakki and dermatologist Jeffrey Benabio, MD, presented “No Such Thing as TMI in Digital Health.” They led a discussion about how patients can use the latest technologies to shape and curate their own health journey, also about Kaiser Permanente exploring how to best use technology to harness that data so patients and clinicians can benefit.
Tweets about the one-hour session reached more than a half-million Twitter accounts, including those of several physicians and influential digital-health visionaries. The social media buzz for the Kaiser Permanente session, hashtag #digitalTMI, exceeded all other sessions in the SXSW Interactive health track on Sunday.
