Physicians Announced for the Kaiser Permanente Briargate Senior Health Center

COLORADO SPRINGS — Kaiser Permanente is pleased to introduce three physicians that will provide primary care services to Kaiser Permanente Medicare Senior Advantage members at the new Briargate Senior Health Center, 4105 Briargate Parkway, scheduled to open October 1, 2009. These physicians are members of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group, the physician side of Kaiser Permanente Colorado.

Stephanie Gargia, MD

Stephanie Garcia, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and is a graduate of the University of Texas Houston Medical School. She completed her internship and internal medicine residency at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Phoenix. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente and CPMG, she worked as an outpatient internist at the University Family Health Center, San Antonio, Texas.

Christine Walden, MD

Christine Walden, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and is a graduate of the University of Virginia Medical School, Charlottesville, Va. She completed her internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, DC. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente and CPMG, she was on active duty with the United States Air Force and in private practice in northern Virginia and Colorado Springs.

Harry White, MD
Dr. White

Harry White, MD, is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va. He also holds an MA in biology from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA. His post-graduate medical training includes a residency in rehabilitation medicine, Tufts-New England Medical Center.  He completed fellowships in Neurobiology of Aging, University of Rochester School of Medicine; Stroke Training Program and Geriatrics, Duke University Medical Center. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente and CPMG, he was a primary care physician at Total Longterm Care in Denver.

Kaiser Permanente Medicare Senior Advantage members can make appointments with these physicians by calling Senior Advantage Member Services at 1-800-476-2167 or the Kaiser Permanente Call Center at 1-800-218-1059, effective immediately.

The Briargate Senior Health Center, located at 4105 Briargate Parkway, is Kaiser Permanente’s first medical office in the Colorado Springs area and will feature primary care for Medicare Senior Advantage members as well as lab, X-ray, and pharmacy services that will be available to all Kaiser Permanente members. It will also house a Kaiser Permanente hearing aid center and optical services that will be available not only to Kaiser Permanente members but to the community as well.
