Kaiser Permanente supports a range of activities to enrich the health of our communities. Through our local grants program, we support, strengthen and enhance programs and organizations that address the health needs of our most vulnerable residents.
The Napa-Solano area includes the Solano County communities of Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, and Vallejo, and the Napa County communities of American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa, Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and Yountville.
Grantmaking Priority Areas
Through a community needs assessment, we identify priority health and social needs to guide our contributions to the community. The health priority needs identified through 2016 are:
- Access to care (access to culturally appropriate, affordable health care services)
- Healthy Eating (access to affordable healthy food)
- Safe Environments (lack of safe places to walk, bike, exercise, or play)
- Workforce Development (lack of employment and vocational training)
We are now soliciting online applications for our 2014 Community Benefit Grant Program. The funding range for 2014 community grants will be $10,000-$25,000. Community Health Needs Assessment
We are proud to share with you our 2013 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) report. The report reflects Kaiser Permanente’s long-standing commitment to working with other organizations to address the most urgent health needs in the communities we serve.
Conducting these assessments and making them available to the public is also important in meeting new federal requirements outlined in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. We invite you to view the Community Health Needs Assessments for each Kaiser Foundation Hospital and submit comments on our CHNA web page.
