Kaiser Permanente Wins 10 Digital Health Awards

Health care organization ends the summer with top online and mobile recognitions

Kaiser Permanente celebrates the end of summer with 10 awards for its online and mobile health resources and tools. The health care organization’s easy and convenient member website, My Health Manager on kp.org, and its user-friendly Medicare website, medicare.kp.org, are among those to win top honors.

My Health Manager received a Best in Class Award from the 2014 Interactive Media Awards. The program’s highest honor, the Best in Class Award represents the best in planning, execution and overall professionalism of interactive media. The website also received a Bronze Web Health Award.

More than 4.5 million members use My Health Manager to connect with their care providers and manage their health. In 2013 members:

  • Sent 14.8 million emails to care providers
  • Refilled 14.8 million prescriptions
  • Viewed 34.5 million lab test results
  • Scheduled 3.7 million appointments

The health care organization’s Medicare website received a Best in Industry Award from the 2014 New Media Awards, which recognizes design, innovation and how well a website serves users’ needs. The website also received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the 2014 Interactive Media Awards.

The website provides easy access to information about the four parts of Medicare (Parts A, B, C and D), outlines eligibility requirements, and clearly illustrates cost and coverage options. Eligible customers can enroll in Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare plan directly from the website.

Kaiser Permanente was highlighted several times by the 2014 Web Health Awards, including first-time recognitions for its Center for Total Health Blog, Total Health Radio and Is Health IT Really Worth IT? infographic. Each online resource received a Silver Web Health Award.
