Kaiser Permanente of Georgia was presented with the Large Business of the Year Award at the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce’s 69th Annual Awards Banquet.

“Kaiser Permanente has gotten deeply involved in our community,” said Matt Barrington, chairman of the Chamber board. “The health care organization filled empty retail space, invested millions in order to better serve the community and brought high-end jobs to Douglas County. Since the beginning, Kaiser Permanente has given back through charitable giving and support of local festivals and events.”

In 2010, Kaiser Permanente opened its Douglasville Medical Office at 6875 Douglasville Blvd. The 7,000-square-foot facility, which will be expanded later this year, offers adult medicine, pediatrics, ob-gyn, radiology and pharmacy services. Kaiser Permanente of Georgia operates 30 medical offices in metro Atlanta and in Athens.
